Rachel Filippone and Hira Zeb won five straight games to help fifth-seeded Oakcrest edge host Cumberland Regional, the No. 4 seed, 3-2 Tuesday in a South Jersey Group III quarterfinal match.
Filippone and Zeb came back from a first-set loss to win 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 for the deciding point. Connie Capone and Summer Conover contributed with straight-set wins at first and second singles, respectively.
Oakcrest, who has won six out of its last seven matches, will face top-seeded Moorestown, the No. 3 team in The Press Elite 11, on Thursday in a semifinal match.
For Cumberland, Zoe Taylor won in three sets at third singles and Bianca Birney and Shaelyn Halter took second doubles in straight sets.
