Eighteen Press-area high school girls tennis teams will compete in the South Jersey section of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament beginning on Thursday.
Undefeated Sacred Heart (11-0) leads all local teams as the No. 1 seed in the Non-Public South-B and earned a bye in the first round.
Five area teams will compete in Group II, including No. 2 Barnegat (15-2) and No. 3 seed Cedar Creek (8-3).
Egg Harbor Township (8-1), No. 10 in The Press Elite 11, is the No. 4 seed in Group IV and Ocean City (8-1) is the No. 2 seed in Group III.
