Daily Mike Trout update: Goes 0-for-3, scores run in Angels' 5-4 loss to ChiSox

Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Thursday: Went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in a 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox in Anaheim.

Today: The Angels host the White Sox at 10:05 p.m. Chris Sale (4-2, 2.88 ERA) is Chicago’s scheduled starter.

Stats: Trout is hitting .287 with 29 RBIs and 28 runs scored in 41 games. He has 12 doubles, three triples, eight homers and seven stolen bases.

Note: Trout was hitting .368 (14-for-39) with four home runs, nine runs scored and eight RBIs in his last 10 games through Wednesday.
