Bridgeton High School graduate Christian Brown says the West Virginia University football team is “going to shock a whole lot of people this season.”
Brown, a rising sophomore defensive lineman for the Mountaineers, spoke to WVSports.com’s Marc Basham for an article posted on the website Monday.
“We all feel ourselves getting better every day,” Brown said of West Virginia’s defensive line, which is expected to be a strength this fall.
Brown said the line will set the tone for the team.
“The defensive line’s going to tell how the game’s going to go,” he said. “If us up front do good then it’s going to be a good game.”
Brown is listed at 6-foot-3, 308 pounds.
“I feel like I’m a lot stronger than I was last year, a lot faster,” he said. “I just feel like I’ve improved on a lot of stuff.”
