Ronray Harris and John Mallett each earned titles as Middle Township High School won the 14-team Red Bank Regional Buc Classic on Saturday.
Harris had two pins and a technical fall en route to the 113-pound title.
Mallett pinned his way through the tournament on his way to the 152 title.
The Panthers’ Kenny Dale (120) and Brandon Curtis (132) each finished second.
The Panthers had 191 points. Keansburg finished second with 178 and host Red Bank Regional third with 173.
The host Blue Devils went 3-0 to win their own tournament.
Austin Figueroa (126), David Williams (182), Brandon Beebe (195/220) and Bobby Frederico (285) all won three matches to lead Hammonton. Jeff Piccariello won both matches he wrestled at 170.
Ocean City and Cumberland Regional were also at the duals and finished third and sixth, respectively.
Cliff Owens (132/138), Cooper Gallagher (170), Ryan Richards (182/195) and Josh Johnson (220) all won three matches for the Red Raiders.
The Creek wins again
Cedar Creek won its second straight match nonconference match 55-18 against Atlantic City.
The Pirates, who lost their first six matches this season, got consecutive pins from Patt McGinnis (126), Matt Jiampetti (132) and Eric Hanusewicz (138) in the lower weights and Christian Sandfort (195) and Ben Keating (220) in the upper weights.
Atlantic City’s Cesar Balmaceda improved to 12-0 this season with a major decision at 170.
Millville takes two
Millville, which is ranked No. 9 in The Press Elite 11, won Cape-Atlantic League matches against Oakcrest and Mainland but dropped a 44-24 nonconference match to No. 5 Clearview Regional.
Zach Goranson (120), Keith Mahoney (145), Obi Kali (220), Fred DeMary (285) all won three matches for the Thunderbolts.
Shockley won a 7-2 decision against Oakcrest’s John Benard in a matchup of 2012 Region 8 qualifiers.
Barnegat tops Lacey
Jeff DeLuise (106 pounds), Chris Stoma (160), Ryan Kirk (182), Greg Schmalz (195) and Zach Andrews (285) all had pins as Barnegat beat Lacey Township 39-33 in a Shore Conference matchup of area schools.
Stoma and Kirk each won three matches for the host Bengals in the quad.
Lacey Township’s Luke Fernandez (170/182) and Patrick Schinder (220) were each triple-winners.
