The Absegami High School girls volleyball team edged host St. Joseph 2-1 on Friday. The games were 25-22, 18-25 and 25-23.

Absegami's Barbara Gedeon led with 10 kills, while Courtney Olson added three aces and six kills, and Dionise Ko had 23 assists. The Braves are 12-3.

For the Wildcats (5-6), Samantha Wetzel had five kills, eight blocks, 10 digs and one ace, Kathryn Bromiley added nine kills, one block, nine digs and one ace, and Gabrielle McGlynn had one kill, 16, digs, 14 assists, 12 service points and four aces.

Oakcrest 2,

Our Lady of Mercy Academy 0

The game scores were 26-24 and 25-20. Tiffany Valiente led Oakcrest with 18 kills, three aces and one block, and Erin Thompson had 19 assists, two digs and one ace.

For host OLMA (6-7), Jessica Baals had three kills and three aces, and Ashleigh Burrichter had four kills and two digs.

Pleasantville 1

The visiting Panthers won with games of 18-25, 25-18 and 25-18. Middle's Madison Peteani had 10 digs, eight aces, four kills and one block, Stacey Hand added 14 digs, four aces andd two blocks, and Haley Reef had eight digs, four kills and two aces.

For Pleasantville, Gisela Palomino had eight service points and six digs, Maria Mercedes added seven service points and one dig, and Trennis Frasier had three kills.
