Daily Mike Trout update: Goes 4-for-4 with walk, run scored in Angels' 10-9 win over Seattle

Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate.

Thursday: Playing left field and batting second, Trout was 4-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in a 10-9 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Today: The Angels host Pittsburgh and rookie starter Gerrit Cole (2-0, 3.75) at 10:05 p.m.

Stats: Trout is hitting .317 with 12 home runs, 44 RBIs, 53 runs scored and 16 stolen bases on 19 attempts in 73 games. His on-base percentage is .395, his slugging percentage .556 and his OPS .952.

Notes: The Angels are 24-14 this season when Trout scores, 9-26 when he doesn’t. ... During his career, the Angels are 43-7 when Trout scores more than one run. ... Entering Thursday, he was ranked tied for second in the American League with 40 extra-base hits this season and tied for second in the league with 52 runs scored.
