Kenny Merlock hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Oakcrest High School to a 8-5 victory over Hammonton in a Cape-Atlantic League American Conference baseball game Thursday.

Merlock, a junior, went 3-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs. Tyler Manno was 1-for-3, scored twice and drove in a run for the Falcons. Oakcrest freshman Ryan Johnson pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn his first career victory.

For Hammonton, Alex Padovani doubled, tripled, scored one run and had two RBIs.

Atlantic City's Matt DiCerbo hit a grand slam in the fifth inning. Teammates Giancarlo Martinez and Murray Kanter each doubled.

Ocean City scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to win it. Beau Hall tied it at 5-5 when he scored from second base on an infield error. After a walk loaded the bases, the host Red Raiders scored when Evan Oakland was hit by a pitch. Sean Mooney was the winning pitcher in relief.

Robert Bunton went 3-for-4, including a double, for 10th-ranked Buena.
