Baseball roundup: Gannon White, Holy Spirit win Pop Bobb Tournament
The Holy Spirit High School baseball team won the Pop Bobb Tournament in Pennsville for the second year in a row on Saturday. The Spartans beat Cumberland Regional 5-4 in the semifinal game and defeated host Pennsville 10-7 in the championship game.
Ryan Solari was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the championship game, and Anthony Boselli went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Tyler Kelly was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Rick Hopkins was 2-for-2 with three runs. Winning pitcher Gannon White, the tournament Most Valable Player, struck out four in five innings.
In the semifinals, White hit the game-winning solo homer in the top of the seventh inning. Mike DiIanni earned the win in relief. Starter Tyler Dowd allowed one run in five innings. A.J. Russo had a two-run double. Boselli was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Joe Foyak doubled for Cumberland.

Bridgeton loses two
Bridgeton lost to host Clayton 13-3 in six innings in a first-round game on the 10 -run rule. The Bulldogs lost to Pennsauken Tech 13-1 in the fifth inning in a consolation game.
Jason Davis had a double and two runs in the first game for Bridgeton, and Jeffrey Soto Balbuena doubled. Penn Tech's Alex Ortiz and Wilbor Garcia combined on a one-hitter in the second game.

St. Joseph's Alec Craig drove in the winning run in the top of the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly.
Winning pitcher Mike Vaccarella went five innings, and Craig got the save. John Rosenblum and freshman Salaam Horne each went 2-for-4 for the visiting Wildcats.
For O.C., pitcher Beau Hall went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Kyle Andrews was 2-for-4 with a triple.
