The Middle Township High School baseball team scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and held on to beat visiting Egg Harbor Township 5-4 on Friday. Middle's Erik Arenberg had two hits, including a three-run double in the fifth.

Also for the Panthers, Doug Schwartz added two hits. Winning pitcher Steven Hand went five innings.

Panthers reliever Jeff Keyes worked the final two innings, and recorded a strikeout with the bases loaded to end the game.

Hall gave up two hits and struck out eight in five innings. Mooney was perfect in a two-inning stint and struck out five. Also for host O.C., Vince Terry was 2-for-2 with two walks, and Evan Ochlan went 2-for-3.
