Baseball roundup: Oakcrest rallies from five down to win
Tyler Thompson scored the winning run as Oakcrest High School came back from a five-run deficit to beat Sacred Heart 6-5 in a Cape-Atlantic League interconference baseball game Monday.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, Thompson singled and advanced to second on Kenny Merlock's line-drive single to right-center field. Thompson stole third and scored on Troy Manno's single.
Cameron Lease struck out four in three shutout innings of relief to earn the victory.
Chris Repice walked twice, singled, scored and had an RBI for Sacred Heart.
