Baseball roundup: Wildwood holds on to beat Clayton in high-scoring game
The Wildwood High School baseball team took a seven-run lead but then held on to beat visiting Clayton 15-14 Friday in a Tri-County Conference game.
Wildwood's Matt Bolle went 3-for-3 with a triple, a homer, four runs and three RBIs.
Also for the Warriors, Devon Bradshaw was 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs, and Syd Jakel went 2-for-4 with a double. Matt Rucci was the winning pitcher, going six innings.
The Clippers trailed 15-8 after five innings but scored three runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Wildwood reliever Anthony Korobellis worked the seventh inning.

Michael Foytik remained unbeaten with a complete game, striking out four and allowing two hits and two runs. Fred Beck led the Colts, who won their fourth straight game, with two hits, including a double.

Ocean City's Sean Mooney doubled in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, after Beau Hall and Kieran Tracey each singled. Mooney was also the winning pitcher, working the seventh inning. O.C.'s Christian Candeloro, Hall, Tracey and Mooney each had two hits.
Atlantic City's Matt DiCerbo hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to put the Vikings up 4-3. Teammate Jon Bruccoleri went 2-for-4.
