The Pinelands Regional High School boys tennis team opened their season with a 5-0 victory over host Jackson Liberty in a Shore Conference B South game Tuesday.

The defending division champions won each match in straight sets.

Pat Moore led Lacey with three goals and two assists. Joe Long also scored three goals. Dan Cannon had three assists. Goalkeeper Tyler Walsh made 23 saves for the Lions.

Nick Stafford scored a team-high three goals for Toms River East. Kyle DiIorio scored two goals and had an assist for the Raiders.
