Boys tennis: Mainland gets top seed in South Jersey Group IV playoffs

The Mainland Regional High School boys tennis team received the top-seed in the South Jersey Group IV playoffs, when the brackets were released Monday by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The Mustangs, ranked No. 4 in The Press Elite 11, are 10-1 and had their first loss to Vineland on Monday, 3-2.

No. 3 Middle Township was seeded second in Group II. The Panthers have reached the finals the past five seasons, before falling to top-seeded Haddonfield each time.

In South Jersey Non-Public A, St. Augustine Prep earned the No. 2 seed behind No. 1 Christian Brothers Academy.

The playoffs start today.
