The St. Augustine Prep varsity-eight and lightweight-eight crews both won at the Cooper Cup regatta Sunday on the Cooper River in Camden.

The Cooper Cup is held annually one day after the Garden State Scholastic Rowing Championships. It includes rowing clubs as well as high school teams. The races were each 2,000 meters.

The Hermits' varsity eight won Flight 2 of its division in 6 minutes, 20.30 seconds. The crew featured bow Austin Neri, Zach LaBarth, Dan Stinson, Zack Seither, Shane Dickson, Dan Capone, Alastair Watson, stroke John Ruskey and coxswain Brett Barry.

There was one boys lightweight-eight race, and the Hermits won in 6:32.85. The Prep crew consisted of stroke Vittorio DiPentino, Conor Murphy, Kevin Motylinski, R.J. D'Amico, Josh Power, Connor Burbridge, Bill Mayer, bow Thomas Puhalski and coxswain A.J. Parra.

The Absegami and Egg Harbor Township boys junior eights won separate flights of that division. Absegami was first in its flight in the girls novice-eight division.

Women's novice eight (flight 4)-1. Absegami (stroke Elizabeth Whitehurst, Mackenzie Dorsett, Kayci Meyer, Arielle Schafer, Caitlyn West, Emily Steel, Catherine Smith, bow Emily Sproule, coxswain Olivia Rubillo) 7:56.62.

Men's junior eight (flight 3)-1. Absegami (stroke Matt Graham, Chris Piettro, Rami Awad, Sovan Ali, Doyle Pollock, Evan D'Ambrosio, Samran Ali, bow Joey Hawn, coxswain Ryan Kershenblatt) 6:48.15.

Men's junior eight (flight 4)-1. Egg Harbor Township (stroke Ryan Rimmele, Waleed Omar, Anthony Li Wei, Trevor Tuthill, Tom Putney, Michael Sunga, Adel Hassan, Mickey Chen, coxswain Frankie Sutton) 6:46.73.
