Lacrosse roundup: Ocean City girls edge Oakcrest

The Ocean City High School girls lacrosse team beat Oakcrest 7-6 in a Cape-Atlantic League game on Friday.

Kelly Hanna and Mikala Gillespie scored two goals each for Ocean City. Oakcrest's Alexis Sutley scored all three of her goals in the second half.

Rialee Allen scored with 10 minutes, 51 seconds left to give Ocean City a 7-5 lead. Oakcrest's Sutley answered with 9:30 remaining to cut the lead to 7-6.

But Ocean City's defense closed the door on Oakcrest. Maura Twiggs made eight saves in the win.
