Lacrosse roundup: Mainland Regional girls edge Lacey Township in first round of playoffs

Anna Gordon scored with 38 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Mainland Regional High School girls lacrosse team to a 14-13 win over Lacey Township in a South Jersey Group III opening-round playoff game Thursday.

Gordon scored six goals and had two assists for the 10th-seeded Mustangs, No. 10 in The Press Elite 11. Riley Dolan scored five times.

For Lacey Township, the No. 7 seed, Lauren Salemme had five goals and two assists and Holly Brewster had three goals.

Mainland will next face No. 2 seed Notre Dame.
