Pinelands Regional High School's Naomi Stas pitched a two-hitter and added an RBI single as the host Wildcats softball team beat Central Regional 3-0 Thursday in a game for first place in Shore Conference B South.

Stas struck out nine and walked one.

Pinelands is 13-4 overall and 10-1 in B South. Central is 10-4 overall and 9-3 in the division.

The Wildcats scored three runs in the third inning as Breanna Wilson doubled home Shannon Herron, Stephanie Healy doubled in Wilson to make it 2-0, and Stas singled in Healy.

Central pitcher Stephanie Pepper struck out 10.

Teammate Kelsey Ritner was 2-for-3 with a solo homer, the first home run of her career, and two RBIs.
