The final ranking of teams in the Cape-Atlantic League and the Burlington County Scholastic League, Colonial Conference, Olympic Conference and Tri-County Conference. Also ranked are Shore Conference teams that compete for South Jersey titles. Rankings based on research, observations and interviews done by The Press' high school sports staff. Local teams in bold.

A look ahead
St. Joseph returns a talented group from this season's Cape-Atlantic League American Conference champs, led by first-team All-Stars Dominique D'Andrea and Carly Testa.
Atlantic City ace Maddie Taggart, a first-team All-Star as a sophomore, missed most of this season and hopes to return healthy next year for her senior season.
There will be a new CAL National Conference champ as Sacred Heart High School is now closed.
A number of Lions will have an immediate impact at various area school next season.
Buena Regional won a sectional title this season and appears to be the team to beat in the CAL National.
Pinelands Regional returns one of the top pitching duos in the area in first-team All-Stars Emma Neuweiler and Naomi Stas. The Wildcats have the potential to be one of the best teams in the Shore Conference.
