The outdoor track and field Meet of Champions was postponed again Friday.

The meet was rescheduled for 5 p.m. Monday at Carl Sandburg Middle School in Old Bridge, Monmouth County.

The rescheduling caused a change in the event schedule. The girls javelin will now be held at 5 p.m., the same time as the boys javelin. Maria Jimenez of Vineland is one of the favorites in the girls javelin.

The meet was rescheduled for 5 p.m. Friday. But New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association officials postponed the meet again Friday morning because the forecast called for evening thunder showers.

Several schools around the state also had proms and graduations scheduled for Friday, so the move to Monday also avoided conflict with those events.
