Bio:
Michelle Wie started playing golf at the age of four. Wie qualified for the USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship at the age of 10, making her the youngest to ever qualify. The American golfer had a successful amateur career and set multiple records. Most of the records she set were for being the youngest to ever win, advance or place at amateur championships. She was the youngest player ever to make the cut at a LPGA event (13 years, 5 months, 17 days). Wie turned professional in 2005. In 2008, she became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. She won the 2010 CN Canadian Women’s Open, her second-career LPGA victory. Wie recorded seven top-10 finishes in 2011.
