Atlantic City workers are this morning unloading 20,700 bottles of water from a truck at Surf Stadium that just arrived from Chicago.

The water, which was donated by Rainsoft through Melting Pot owner Charlie Haney, will be taken to Atlantic City schools this afternoon for distribution to those who are in need of it as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

The schools are Texas Avenue, Sovereign Avenue, Martin Luther King, Uptown, New York Avenue.

Blanket phone calls will go out to residents to make them aware of the water's availability.

School superintendent Donna Haye said the water will be available after 3 p.m.
