Two bodies found in a jetty in Ocean County appear to be hurricane-related deaths
The bodies of two men were found Monday in a jetty of the Manasquan River Inlet in Ocean County.
Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said 25-year-old Jorge Hernandez of Point Pleasant Beach was found around 10:40 a.m. Monday.
The second man, whose identity has not been determined, was found in a nearby area of the inlet in Point Pleasant Beach about two hours later.
Mohel says officials have learned Hernandez and another man had planned to go to the inlet early Sunday, possibly to watch the storm's approach. That, along with the identity of the second body, was under investigation.
