Beaches in North Wildwood are free, and the walks across the sand to the water are not as long as they are to the south. North Wildwood's Boardwalk starts at about 16th Street and stretches south into neighboring Wildwood.
Make sure you plug money into the parking meters even if it's later in the evening, because meter attendants are vigilant.
Hereford Inlet in the northern section of the city has a seawall that you can walk along and view the scenery of the ocean, sand and the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. The seawall has a smooth and paved surface, although be wary of the sides of the seawall, which have no railings.
The city has a wide variety of eating options and plenty of places for a quick slice of pizza or a soda.
Also, while driving into or leaving North Wildwood on New Jersey Avenue, be alert of your speed. Police strictly enforce the 25 mph speed limit, and often times have multiple police cars situated along New Jersey Avenue in the north end of the city.
