The Nature Center of Cape May is teeming with life. Day or evening, parents and kids can choose from a number of educational activities.

The Center has drop-off programs for children from 3 years old through ninth grade that run for several hours in the morning, Mondays through Thursdays. They are taught by school teachers and focus on experiential learning.

On a normal summer day, learning is happening everywhere. Kids are seining across the street at the harbor, conducting experiments in the center's marine lab and viewing wildlife from O'Neil Tower.

Programs are available throughout the day for entire families. Kim Hannum, senior naturalist, said one of the center's most popular programs is the Harbor Safari. At night, families can search for ghost crabs on the beach or take part in the storytelling competition, Shore Slam: Campfire Stories.
