BACKGROUND: Here's a trip sure to please kids of just about any age. Ripley's Believe It Or Not is a museum of true life oddities and mysteries.
From gypsy carriages to shrunken heads to a mummified mermaid, Ripley's Believe It Or Not has something to tickle everyone's fancy. Just stay away from the fertility statues - they are rumored to work!
The museum, located on New York Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, is easily seen; just look for the giant wrecking ball smashing through the roof of the building.
INSIDER INFO: There are hundreds of exhibits within the winding halls of Ripley's, but some of the most famous exhibits include the man who survived a Great White shark attack, the Fiji Island Mermaid and the life size statue of Michael Jordon created of paper, plastic, wire and even broken glass shards.
