The third annual Atlantic City Salutes America’s Armed Forces Parade is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. today at New Jersey Avenue and the Boardwalk and continue to Albany Avenue. The parade will feature about 130 units, including eight bands, 16 floats, 21 horses and more than 75 motorcycles. The festivities will kick off with a flyby by at least one civilian aircraft from Wednesday’s airshow. A viewing stand will be set up in front of Boardwalk Hall, where visitors can hear descriptions of the floats and marchers, while viewers elsewhere on the Boardwalk are free to bring chairs. Two thousand U.S. flags will also be given out by Longport Media.
