An Ocean County man died Tuesday after wrecking his motorcycle in central New Jersey.

State Police say Walter Kohlheim, 53, of Manahawkin, crashed his 2006 Harley-Davidson into a guardrail on state highway 29 in Kentwood, Hunterdon County.

Police say Kohlheim was traveling north when his motorcycle crossed the center line, veered into the south-bound lane and struck a guardrail. He was pronounced dead at Hunterdon Medical Center.

Officials aren't sure what made him lose control of his motorcycle.
