Police have identified the victim of a Sunday morning bar shooting and said they do not believe he was targeted.

Malik Green, 26, of Atlantic City is in critical condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. Witnesses reported a dark-skinned black man in a green hooded sweatshirt fired and reloaded a shotgun multiple times at Hudson's Bar at about 7:15 a.m. Sunday.

Green, the only known victim, was hit in the upper torso. Based on preliminary reports, McMenamin said, he was "an innocent bystander."

The suspect fled the scene, and Officer James Fitzgerald later found the shotgun nearby.

Anyone with information can call the lead investigator, Detective Ed Riegel, at 609-347-5766. Information can also be called anonymously into Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234.
