UPPER DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP - A sport utility vehicle caught fire after striking another vehicle Friday afternoon near the Walmart on Route 77, although no one was seriously injured, State Police said Saturday.
The accident, which happened at about 4 p.m., occurred when a black Chevrolet Blazer heading north made an improper left turn on Route 77, hitting another car going southbound, State Police said. The impact led the Blazer to catch fire moments later, although the SUV's two occupants were already out of the vehicle, police said.
Two small children in the other car complained of minor injuries. Those involved in the accident were taken to South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland. No further details were available.
