CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE - Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten heard from both sides of the Wildwood recall election battle during an early morning hearing today.

An effort to recall Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. and Commissioner Bill Davenport was unsuccessful after City Clerk Christopher Wood found the recall petitioners had collected too few valid signatures.

Batten heard from attorneys on both sides today about whether or not those signatures and petitions were valid. The hearing will reconvene Friday at 12:30 p.m.
