WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Century 21 Promotions, of Seattle, have announced the voluntary recall of youth's hooded sweatshirts and jackets made for and sold at the southern New Jersey shore because they pose a strangulation hazard.

The recalled garments are embroidered with the following logos: "Avalon," "Stone Harbor," "Cape May," "Sea Isle," "Ocean City," "Long Beach Island," "Lavallette" and "Seaside Park."

They were sold for the past four years at Riptide East, Shirt Shops of Cape May, Summer Sweats, Rip Current Sportswear, B&B Dept. Stores and other retailers.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard, or return the garment to the place of purchase for a full refund.

No injuries from the garments have been reported yet to the commission.

For additional information, contact Century 21 Promotions at (800) 935-2100.
