A businessman wants to bring slot machines to Gettysburg, Pa., a town made famous by an 1863 Civil War battle.

David LeVan and a group of investors are seeking a category III slots license, according to an article on www.lehighvalleylive.com. That license would allow up to 500 slot machines in a facility -- and only hotel guests or passholders would be able to access the machines.

According to the article, the state's Gaming Control Board rejected a Levan project three years ago due to its proximity to the Gettysburg Battlefield. This time, LeVan hopes to use the Eisenhower Inn and Conference Center in Cumberland Township, Adams County.
