Atlantic Cape signs agreement to ensure students' easy transfer to university in Pennsylvania

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College president Peter Mora on Friday signed an agreement with Neumann University President Rosalie Mirenda that will allow students to more easily transfer to the Aston, Pa., Catholic college and earn scholarships to attend.

Under the terms of the Dual Admission Articulation Agreement, students who graduate from Atlantic Cape, or complete a certificate or professional series program with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0, are eligible to transfer into one of more than 20 undergraduate programs at Neumann.

Qualified students who transfer as traditional full-time students will receive scholarship packages of as much as $12,000 per year, based on cumulative GPA. Scholarships are renewable each year. Tuition and fees at Neumann for the 2012-13 academic year are $24,072 according to the school’s website.

The agreement also offers adult student learners an opportunity to earn accelerated bachelor’s degrees. Students can apply as many as 90 credits to Neumann University’s accelerated bachelor’s degree programs, which include: behavioral science, liberal studies with self-designed option, organizational leadership and professional studies.
