Atlantic City police are investigating a shooting after a man walked into the hospital at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday with a gunshot wound to his hip.

Laquan Rex, 20, who lives in the city, told police he was walking on Route 30 near Grammercy Avenue when he heard gunfire and realized he was struck, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. Rex told Detective Thomas Holton that the gunfire came from a vehicle traveling outbound on Route 30. He could not provide any vehicle description, including color, McMenamin said.
