An Atlantic City man was sentenced Wednesday to 26 years in prison on drug charges.

Todd Dorn, 45, was convicted last month of possession and distribution of heroin and marijuana in Atlantic City in 2011.

Dorn was arrested March 22, 2011, after city police officer was saw suspicious behavior outside Dorn’s home on the 600 block of Green Street.

The officer pulled over a woman who left the home, and found she had less than a half-ounce of heroin.

Upon further investigation, police discovered heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia – including drug packaging and digital scales -- inside Dorn’s bedroom. He also had thousands of dollars in cash believed to be from drug sales.

The jury deliberated less than five hours before finding Dorn guilty on all counts, including second-degree possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park.

Dorn must serve 13 years before he is eligible for parole.
