Atlantic City officials are meeting with the media today in Philadelphia to discuss the results of a new national tourism poll and ways to attract visitors to the resort town in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

The delegation is headed by Liza Cartmell, president of the Atlantic City Alliance, and John Palmieri, executive director of the state Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

Atlantic City escaped Sandy largely unscathed, but misperceptions continue nationwide that the Boardwalk was destroyed and that casinos remain closed, according to a new poll commissioned by the alliance, a marketing coalition funded by the casinos.

The media roundtable began at noon in the Comcast Center.
