Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Atlantic City.
A call of shots fired on the 500 block of North Indiana Avenue came in about 9:30 p.m., Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.
Police said a man was found dead in the area, but no details were immediately available. Members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit are on the scene, a spokeswoman for the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.
This is the 17th homicide in the city this year. There were 14 homicides in the city last year, and 12 each of the previous two years.
No additional information was immediately available.
