Atlantic City police are looking for a girl who left her home Thursday and did not return.

Shanyah Castro, 12, left her home on the 800 block of North Maryland on June 19, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. She has talked to her mother on her cell phone and also been in contact through Instagram and Facebook, but her whereabouts are not known.

Castro may be with another runaway, Sadiyah Gilliard, 15, police said.

Castro is 5-foot-5, weighing 195 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium-brown complexion.

Police were taking a flier with the girls’ information door to door in Back Maryland on Tuesday.
