An Atlantic City police officer remains in critical condition after a motorcycle accident Monday night in Galloway Township.

Frankely Paredes, 31, of Egg Harbor Township, was riding with his motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle driven by Donovan Myers, 26, of Galloway, at the White Horse Pike and South Donna Drive at about 6:30 p.m.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident.

Paredes was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus in Atlantic City for a head injury, police said. Paredes became a police officer in Avalon in 2005, and joined the Atlantic City police force a year later.
