A federal Department of Justice grant will give the Atlantic City Police Department $107,165, according to a joint press release from U.S. Senator Robert Menedez and U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo.

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program helps agencies stop crimes in local communities by investing in technology, equipment, and training.

The Vineland Police Department received $81,566 in funding from the JAG program.

A previous Justice Assistant Grant paid for computers in 20 of Atlantic City's police cars.

More than $1.5 million in Justice Assistant Grants were distributed throughout the state.
