An Atlantic County corrections officer was cleared of allegations of the use of excessive force, according to a release from county government.

In September, Kyleah Street, 17 at the time of the incident, was being transported to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. She alleged that during the trip she was injured by the corrections officer.

A jury unanimously found that the officer's use of force "was in good faith effort to maintain and restore discipline and did not constitute excessive force."
