Avalon police charge two with attempting to steal floating dock

Avalon police charged two Dennis Township residents with theft and receiving stolen property after allegedly attempting to sell a Jet Ski dock from a local business.

Police said Leonard Verity, 32, and Justin Doyle, 30, were in possession of the dock which taken from a residence on Ocean Drive

The owner has also reported a second dock was taken which is valued at $3,600.

The two posted $2,500 bail and are awaiting a court date. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case.
