A Barnegat Township teen has been arrested and charged with allegedly stabbing another teen outside Barnegat High School Friday night during a football game.

Two other teens involved with the incident were arrested and charged eluding police or drug charges, police said in a news release.

Police said about 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the school for report of a fight, where an 18-year-old man was stabbed in his left arm.

The accused left the scene before police arrived, along with a 16-year-old Barnegat teen and Kyle Greenhalgh, 18, of Barnegat. When police found the three at 9:40 p.m. near Beverly Park Drive, the accused and Greenhalgh ran away.

Police chased the teens and apprehended all.

Officers found the 16-year-old intoxicated and uncooperative with officers. Police then found the knife used in the stabbing in the 16-year-old’s pocket as well as a small amount of marijuana. The teen was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released to a guardian.

The 17-year-old was charged with 2nd Degree aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center.

Greenhalgh was charged with obstructing the administration of the law and released pending a court date.

The victim was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center, before being transferred to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
