A bicyclist suffered severe injuries when struck by a motor vehicle in Stafford Township Wednesday morning.
Police said Marta Velasquez, 27, of Manahawkin, was traveling on a bicycle and attempted to cross Route 9 in front of Southern Regional High School at 9:22 a.m. Velasquez was hit by a car driven by Gregory Nelson, 28, of Lanoka Harbor, police said.
Velasquez was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus in Atlantic City with severe injuries and was listed in stable condition, police said.
