North Wildwood officials said the body of a missing Pennsylvania man was found early Monday at one of the city’s beaches.
Police patrolling the beach at 1:14 a.m. saw a body in the surf at 21st Avenue.
Police notified the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, the Medical Examiner’s Office New Jersey State Marine Police and Coast Guard.
Authorities identified the body as Brad Smith, 52, of Horsham, Pa., who went missing after being caught in an undertow in Hereford Inlet at 5:36 p.m. Friday.
The Coast Guard suspended a search this weekend for Smith.
Family members have been notified.
