A 15-year-old Manahawkin boy died Sunday from injuries he sustained from an all terrain vehicle crash Friday night.

Lt. Thomas Dellane confirmed the boy, Chris Wildes, died Sunday night at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.

Wildes was a student at Southern Regional High School.

The crash occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Friday. Two boys were riding the vehicle east on Mermaid Drive, when the driver lost control and ran off the road and through the front yard of a house on the 1800 block of Breakers Drive. Both boys were ejected and were injured.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to Southern Ocean County Medical Center, where he was evaluated and released. The passenger was critically injured and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Dellane said authorities are not yet releasing the identity of the other boy involved in the accident.

Dellane said the accident remains under investigation.
