The victim has been struck by the passenger side, side-view mirror, and the force of the impact caused the casing to break off.

The gray plastic casing was found in the road by police.

Witnesses were only able to describe the vehicle as a four-door car, dark gray in color. No other identifiers including the license plate were available.

Police hope the mirror casing will help them find the car and its driver.
