State Police said Sunday that a 14-year-old boy, whose father accidentally shot him in the face, remained in stable condition.

State Police said the boy was shot Saturday while he and his father, both of Greenwich Township, were hunting in Stow Creek Township.

The boy was struck with a pellet of buckshot fired from a 12-gauge shotgun and was taken to Christiana Hospital.

State Police placed the N.J. Division of Fish and Wildlife in charge of the investigation, but said no charges have been filed.
