FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP - Two suspects in an armed robbery June 25 were apprehended just days after the incident by state police.
On June 29, Frank Lee Jr., 26, and a 17-year-old teen, both of Bridgeton, were arrested and charged with kidnapping, robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, police said.
The two allegedly stole money and jewelry from a residents on State Highway 49 at about 2:08 p.m. on June 25. The two victims, a 68-year-old woman and 25-year-old male gave police descriptions of the suspects.
Lee was additionally charged with armed robbery, employing and employing a juvenile, police said. He is lodged in the Cumberland County jail with bail set at $500,000 cash.
The 17-year-old was also charged with conspiracy, and was released to the custody of family.
A value was not reported on items stolen, but none have been recovered, police said.
